Two of OPEN’s projects, the new Dune Art Museum and the Chapel of Sound, were recently exhibited in “The Legacy of Architectonic Futurism,” the Shanghai BANK Gallery’s newest group show. The exhibition, curated in honor of the visionary design work of Lebbeus Woods (1940-2012), runs from June 15th – August 12th 2018 in downtown Shanghai. Woods was an artist, theorist, educator, and distinguished architect whose politically charged and provocative illustrations drew parallels between society’s physical and psychological constructions. The exhibition showcases Woods’ lifetime of creative work, ranging from competition submissions to futuristic imaginings, with that of artists and architects from around the world whose works honor Woods’s maverick spirit.
